Dear WestFest Neighbors,
One of the main goals of this neighborhood festival is to promote the local businesses in the Western Avenue District! We want to share this with you and our local business partners around the Western Avenue business district, as well as create a friendly event among neighbors. We understand you may have some questions.
Starting at 3 a.m. on Saturday, September 3rd, Western Avenue will be closed between 41st Street and 43rd Street for the festival. It will reopen at 2 a.m. on Sunday, September 4th. All side streets will also be blocked at Western Avenue, as well. A detour route is in place.
You should expect patrons of the festival to park along residential side streets; however, we are providing parking with shuttle service and encouraging guests to walk and bike to the event.
While we are providing trash service to the festival area, we expect some will take trash away from the event and look for a place to toss it. You can help by rolling your can closer to the street. You may even find it the can useful for helping to lock your driveway as a parking precaution.
An outdoor stage means we'll be filling the air with great local music from noon to 10 p.m. We hope you'll join us to celebrate Western Avenue!
